Welcome,

After 20 years of teaching, I am very proud to be a part of one of the top schools in the state, if not the country.  Clovis North is the crown jewel of Clovis Unified School District and I am thrilled to be a part of a staff that is committed to building a long lasting tradition of excellence.  As a part of the art department at Clovis North, and Granite Ridge, I hope to capture the exciting worlds of Photography, Videography, and Broadcasting, and share them with you and your students throughout the school year.

General Information:

Classes are being conducted through Google Classroom.  If you are one of my students, you should have received a link to your period including the Zoom link for online instruction.  This website will be used regularly as a resource as we navigate this unusual year.

Equipment

Use what you have.  If you have or can get access to a DSLR or video camera similar to what we have in class, that is ideal.  However, if all you have is a phone, then so be it.  Phones that are 0-4 years old take perfectly adequate photos and video plus if you download the "Drive" app, you can upload seamlessly and access those from any computer. Please focus on composition and subject matter! If you are using a phone, you will not have as much control over shutter speed and aperture so composition becomes even more important.  Below are some helpful videos.  These are based on iPhones but relate to all phones in general.  I suggest everyone watches them.
